FloExchange ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free currency comparison tool that helps users compare exchange rates across remittance platforms. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Data stored on your device only:

• Currency preferences: Your selected send/receive currency pair and language preference are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.
• Rate alert settings: Any rate alert thresholds you configure are stored locally on your device.
• Cached exchange rates: Recent exchange rate data is cached locally to reduce network requests and improve performance.

Push notification tokens:

• If you enable push notifications, we receive an Expo push token that allows us to send rate alert notifications to your device. This token does not identify you personally.

We do NOT collect:

• Your name, email address, or any personal identification
• Your location data
• Financial information, bank accounts, or transaction data
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
• Contact information or address book data

2. How We Use Information

• Currency preferences are used solely to display relevant exchange rates when you open the app.
• Push notification tokens are used only to deliver rate alert notifications you have explicitly opted into.
• Cached rate data is used to show exchange rates faster and reduce data usage.

3. Third-Party Services

The app fetches exchange rate data from third-party APIs to display current rates. These requests include only the currency pair being queried (e.g., "USD to HNL") and do not include any personal information.

When you tap a platform link (e.g., Wise, Remitly), you are redirected to that platform's website or app. Those platforms have their own privacy policies that govern your interaction with them.

The app uses Expo's notification service to deliver push notifications. Expo's privacy policy applies to the processing of push tokens.

4. Data Storage and Security

All user preferences and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not operate user accounts or maintain server-side databases of user data. There is no cloud sync of your personal settings.

5. Children's Privacy

FloExchange is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

• Delete your data: You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage in your device settings.
• Disable notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings or within the app.
• No account required: The app does not require registration or login, so there is no account data to manage.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
